What have you learned?

“If you’re not learning…” there are about a million classic phrases and quotes that begin that way. I am interested to know what lessons you have learned so far this year (2016). We can search the web to find motivations sayings, or famous quotes… but i am more interested in hearing specifically about your recent experiences and what those have taught you. What skills have you acquired that have helped you in your role? What experience have you gained recently that will help you do your job better or run your business better? Regardless of what industry you are in, I would love to hear about what you have been through lately and how it has either reinforced ideas and principals that you have heard in the past, or disproved some of those fundamental ideas. Please share your specific experience in as much detail as you are comfortable… we can all gain something from hearing the experiences of others. Your example or lesson might help guide someone else to either follow in your footsteps, or avoid issues that you have experienced. That’s the idea behind the “confabulation”.
